We met Kerela, the owner of Meadhaven, at a recent networking event and we were inspired to put together this shoot to showcase her home and grounds. She thinks it is a great place to have a wedding and we agree! There are a variety of areas around the house that are perfect for a ceremony. We chose to use an arbor and chairs near the edge of the lake.
Our reception tent was setup on an area that was once the oldest swimming pool in Blount County! The area has been filled in only leaving the concrete outline of the old pool.
The home features beautiful hand-crafted woodwork and a gorgeous staircase at the entry! There is a bridal wing as well as a groom’s area in a separate building next door. The house has been recently renovated and is full of gorgeous antiques.
The grounds feature an orchard, an old carriage house, a brick silo, open fields, wooded areas, and of course the large lakefront area behind the house.
All of the vendors really came together to make this vintage inspired wedding shoot happen. We appreciate everyone that worked so hard and braved the questionable weather to make our job easy!
